Why Windows 11’s New Battery Design is a Top Feature of the Operating System
The battery indicator in Windows 11 is set to receive an exciting overhaul. This update is promising for those users who have struggled with the clarity of the current interface.
According to Windows enthusiast @phantomofearth, the newly redesigned battery indicator in build 26120.2510, which is being made available to users in the Windows Insider Dev Channel, boasts a larger size and a variety of colors.
For instance, the indicator changes to green when the device is charging and switches to yellow when the power saver mode is active. However, it’s important to note that this upgraded battery icon is exclusively for the taskbar; the lock screen continues to display the previous design.
The enthusiastic user reported that while the fresh battery design in Windows 11 is currently hidden, it can be activated with the help of ViveTool. Users can enable it by executing the following command:
vivetool /enable /id:48822452,48433719
After pressing Enter, users should restart their computers to apply the changes.
In addition, the update KB5048780 introduces features like Recall, Cocreator, and various other AI enhancements for PCs powered by AMD and Intel with Copilot+.
