Why Microsoft Edge is Making It Harder to Change Settings

Microsoft has announced the complete removal of the Edge Support Page, as noted in the official changelog for Build 132.0.2957.26 in the Beta Channel. The tech company from Redmond aims to enhance the overall user experience with this change, leading to the discontinuation of edge://support.

Notably, the data previously found on the Microsoft Edge Support Page will still be accessible via alternate locations, such as edge://version, edge://metrics-internals, edge://extensions, and edge://policy.

This revocation means users will now have to engage more extensively—up to four times more—to configure their Edge browser settings.

In a positive turn, this update will also introduce a new AI theme generator feature in Microsoft Edge. As previously revealed earlier this year, this innovative tool enables users to unleash their creativity and produce various images for personalizing their browser themes.

Additionally, a fresh section titled edge://settings/appearance will be added, granting users the ability to customize and manage the AI theme generator effectively. It’s important to note that this feature is being gradually released to users.
