Outlook’s Copilot Feature to Prioritize Emails by Importance

Outlook is set to enhance your email experience with the integration of Copilot, an AI-driven feature designed to prioritize your emails. This intelligent system will analyze high-priority messages in your inbox and provide concise summaries, ensuring that important information is readily available when you access the email platform.

This innovative functionality was unveiled by Microsoft during the Copilot: Wave 2 event. With Copilot, Outlook automatically updates you with the most significant emails from the previous day or the current day every time you log in.

The technology giant based in Redmond has indicated that Copilot in Outlook can be customized to recognize specific topics, keywords, or important contacts, helping to flag these emails as high priority for users.

For more details, you can check the official entry.

Microsoft intends to roll out a public preview of this feature in December 2024.

Additionally, SharePoint is also embracing AI, enabling administrators to compare sites effectively, while organizations will benefit from Copilot agents and pages aimed at enhancing productivity.

With Copilot’s inbox prioritization, high-priority emails will be highlighted and followed by a brief summary of their significance in both the message list and the reading pane. Users will have the option to sort and filter emails based on Copilot’s priority settings. In the Web version and New Outlook for Windows, you can even configure Copilot to highlight low-priority emails. #newoutlookforwindows
