Microsoft to End Xbox Ambassadors Program Next Month
Microsoft has revealed in a blog post that the Xbox Ambassadors program, a significant platform for the Xbox community, will be officially discontinued on October 15. This program has been renowned for offering substantial rewards to gamers, but it is being phased out as players increasingly find value in alternate engagement avenues, such as the Xbox Insider Program.
Although the platform will cease operations on October 15, current members of the program will have until that date to claim any outstanding codes or rewards. Additionally, the Ambassador Quests will also be terminated, and the Xbox Ambassadors badge will receive a final legacy design.
Active Xbox Ambassadors during this season will be honored with a special “thank you” in the rewards section. In preparation for the shutdown, the program will also host special weekly sweepstakes.
The technology giant based in Redmond will rebrand the Xbox Ambassador Champions program to Xbox Community Champions. Although this particular program is concluding, Microsoft intends to enhance its Rewards with Xbox and Xbox Research initiatives, with further details to be announced soon.
If you are currently an Xbox Ambassador, you are encouraged to join the Xbox Insider Program to gain early access to new features for Xbox consoles and PC apps, as well as to test upcoming games.
Over the past 13 years, Xbox Ambassadors have significantly contributed to building connections and fostering positivity within the Xbox player community. Whether through hosting gaming sessions or providing valuable feedback on games and hardware, you have played a crucial role in shaping the Xbox experience. While we have learned a great deal from this dedicated group, today marks the announcement of the final season of the Xbox Ambassadors program as we strive to integrate its principles across our platform and create more opportunities for you to directly influence and enhance Xbox for everyone.
