Microsoft Teams to Launch Private Moderators for Handling Sensitive Questions

Microsoft Teams is set to launch a new feature that enables private moderators to respond to individual participants without their replies being visible to others in the meeting.

According to a recent update on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this functionality aims to address sensitive inquiries, personal questions, or follow-up discussions that may not be appropriate for the entire audience.

The rollout is expected to commence in December 2024, and the implementation of private moderators will be compatible across all devices, including Android, Mac, iOS, and Desktops.

It remains unclear if this feature will exclusively debut on New Teams, which has recently become the default client for the platform. However, if it does, users may want to consider transitioning to the updated version of the application.

Additionally, Microsoft Teams has introduced a unified experience that allows users to manage both their personal and professional accounts within the same client.

This new feature lets moderators respond to questions from specific attendees privately, ensuring that the replies are not broadcasted to the entire group. This can be particularly useful for sensitive queries, individual requests, or discussions that should only involve certain participants.
