Microsoft Must Not Abandon Forza Horizon 4, Say Gaming Community

Starting December 15th, Microsoft will officially remove Forza Horizon 4 from both the Microsoft Store and Steam. However, many in the gaming community believe this decision is premature and should be reconsidered.

Why is there such resistance? Forza Horizon 4 remains vibrant and active. On Reddit, a multitude of players are urging Microsoft to rethink the retirement of this beloved title before the deadline arrives.

It’s important to note that this action is not merely a matter of choice for Microsoft; instead, it is a necessary step due to licensing issues and unmet agreements that could lead to legal complications.

Players can still access the game through Xbox Game Pass until the cut-off date, and the downloadable content (DLC) remains available as well. As part of their strategy, Microsoft will provide a token that allows players to maintain their access to the full game even after December 15th.

In the meantime, Xbox enthusiasts are revisiting Forza Horizon 4 and some are calling for Microsoft to take action regarding its future.

If you’re a fan of Forza Horizon 4, now is the crucial time to purchase it on the Microsoft Store or Steam before it’s too late. The window of opportunity is rapidly closing.

Microsoft ought to reflect on its previous missteps with FH5 and understand the significance of creating an engaging map atmosphere, striking a balance between simulation and arcade gameplay, and emphasizing the overall enjoyment factor for upcoming titles. For instance, I was eager to drive the Porsche 911 Turbo S in FH5, but found myself losing interest and logging off after just 10 minutes. In contrast, I’ve spent countless hours enjoying the 720s in FH4, drawn in by the fun factor of the car and the map. Especially during this chilly weather, the snowy environment in the game feels incredibly soothing. 🙂
