Microsoft Launches Copilot Pages for Collaborative AI and Team Task Management

Microsoft has unveiled Copilot Pages, an innovative AI-driven tool aimed at enhancing team collaboration. Initially, it will be available exclusively to Microsoft 365 Copilot users, with plans to extend access to all Microsoft 365 subscribers shortly.

In a blog post, the tech giant details how Copilot Pages are integrated with AI into chats, enabling users to transform Copilot’s suggestions into a “persistent canvas” that can be edited and shared with colleagues.

When you receive a valuable response, simply click “Edit in Pages” to generate a page that includes that response alongside your ongoing chat. You can continue interacting with Copilot in the same conversation thread, and any follow-up responses will also populate the page.

All elements on the page are fully editable, allowing you to include various types of content such as images, tables, and formatted text by typing “/” to access a menu.

The page can be shared with team members, and if they possess a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, they can maximize the page view to engage directly with Copilot.

Microsoft emphasizes that Copilot Pages are designed to be persistent, shareable, and conducive to collaboration. They can be continuously edited with new data and incorporated as a dynamic element within your Teams chats, Outlook emails and meetings, or within the Pages module of the Microsoft M365 app.

The rollout for Microsoft 365 Copilot customers begins this week.

In related news, this week has been significant for Copilot: Microsoft also announced the introduction of agents, custom AI models based on Copilot that can be tailored to meet any organization’s specific needs and preferences.

Today we announced Copilot Pages, the first step in our new design system for knowledge work. Copilot Pages is a dynamic, persistent canvas in Copilot chat designed for multiplayer AI collaboration. With Pages, you can transform insightful Copilot responses into something durable with a side-by-side page that you can edit and then share with your team for collaborative efforts.
