Microsoft Enhances Viva Engage with New Unified Create Button Feature
Viva Engage is preparing to launch an innovative feature for content creation on the platform: the Unified Create button. According to Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this feature will be available to Viva users starting next month, enabling them to utilize a single button for all post creation tasks.
Traditionally, users of the Redmond-based tech giant’s platform have needed to navigate to different sections to create various content types. For instance, posting a regular update requires one button, while making a community post necessitates another.
The introduction of the Unified Create button is aimed at simplifying this process, allowing users to quickly familiarize themselves with the tools they are authorized to use.
The roadmap entry highlights:
With this update, Viva Engage will adopt a posting user interface similar to other social media platforms, such as Facebook, where users can efficiently create multiple post types from a single location. This enhancement is expected to streamline workflows and boost user productivity in the upcoming months, facilitating improved interactions within the platform.
Recently, the Redmond-based company has been enhancing Viva Engage with functional improvements. Earlier this year, for instance, Viva Engage granted admins the ability to mute users and regulate their engagement for a more secure work environment.
How do you feel about this new feature?
This feature introduces an easier way for users to create posts and communities through a centralized creation button in Viva Engage. Currently, users must navigate to various parts of the application for different creation types, such as posts or community updates. Starting in October 2024, Viva Engage users will have the ability to create diverse content types enabled for them with this centralized button, easing the creation process and helping them quickly access the various options they are licensed to use.
