Microsoft Copilot Integration in WhatsApp: Now Supports DALL-E Images and More Features
In our previous coverage about Copilot for Telegram, we highlighted that Microsoft has more extensive ambitions for its Copilot initiative in the social media landscape. This initiative, named “Copilot for Social,”is now extending Copilot’s capabilities to WhatsApp, which is available for testing in select areas, including the United States.
According to our evaluations at Windows Latest, the “Copilot for WhatsApp”serves as a chatbot enabling users to engage with a sophisticated language model. While it is not highly functional or considerably integrated with WhatsApp at this stage, sources suggest that Microsoft intends to enhance the Copilot experience within the platform. Currently, it seems to be in the initial development phases.
WhatsApp already features Meta AI, which is seamlessly integrated within the app and boasts strong performance. Users can easily activate it through a specific Meta AI button or the search feature. In contrast, Copilot for WhatsApp merely functions as an additional chatbot and lacks the same level of integration due to restrictions imposed by Meta.

A recent support document, reviewed by Windows Latest, shows that Microsoft has removed references to Copilot for Telegram, leaving only the WhatsApp chatbot acknowledged. It remains uncertain whether Microsoft intends to discontinue its support for the Telegram bot; however, at the time of this writing, Copilot for Telegram continues to operate effectively.
Regarding Copilot for WhatsApp, users can take a photo and send it to the chatbot, prompting it to provide a description of the image. Moreover, it is equipped to utilize DALL-E 3 for generating AI-driven images, demonstrating impressive performance in our assessments.
