Microsoft 365 to Eliminate Feed Feature Less Than Two Years After Launch

Microsoft 365 (formerly Office) has announced the removal of the Feed feature from its online platforms (www.microsoft365.com, www.office.com) as well as the Windows application.

In its official statement, Microsoft confirmed that the Feed feature, intended to assist users in discovering the latest content and team activities, will no longer be available on the Microsoft 365 app starting November 1, 2024.

The organization reassured users that this transition will not disrupt their existing workflows.

Key functionalities of the Feed feature have been incorporated into the “Recommended” files section on the Home tab of the Microsoft 365 app.

Originally introduced in 2022, the Feed feature aimed to streamline content discovery.

We are committed to ensuring that your existing workflows remain unaffected. Launched in 2022, Feed was designed to help users explore the latest content and team activities. Over time, we have integrated all the essential features of Feed into a more accessible surface within the Microsoft 365 app: the “Recommended” files on the Home tab (illustrated in figure 2 below).
