Today, Apple has rolled out the fourth beta iteration of iOS 18.2 for developers, showcasing a host of exciting new functionalities that iPhones will be able to utilize next month.

This update integrates Apple Intelligence features into compatible iPhones.

  • ChatGPT is now accessible via Siri and a newly designed AI Assistant app, allowing offline inquiries and writing assistance.
  • With the Image Playground, users have the option to create images in Animation or Illustration styles.
  • Genmoji enables users to craft custom emojis simply by describing them in text form.
  • The Writing Tools now feature a compose button to assist in generating text, with options to modify the created content as per user preferences.
  • The camera has the ability to recognize objects in your vicinity, while the Notes app can transform simple sketches into polished images.

Currently, these features are only accessible to developers with public testing on the horizon. The AI functionalities will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and upcoming iPhone 16 devices. Additionally, users need to set their device language to specific English variants. It’s worth noting that this service is not yet available in the EU and China.
