Improved Outlook for Mobile: A Major Boost for Composing Emails on Your Phone

The Outlook Mobile app, encompassing both Android and iOS versions, is set to enhance the email composition experience for users. This update will introduce the option to minimize the email composition window, enabling users to engage in multitasking within the app.

What does this feature entail? Users will have the ability to minimize their ongoing email drafts and conveniently retrieve them from the message list or calendar view. This allows for easy access to necessary information from other areas of the app without interrupting the email writing process.

For example, if you utilize the calendar feature for tracking crucial meetings, you can now effortlessly pull that information while drafting your emails. Notably, this functionality will not shift your email to the Draft section. Instead, you’ll return to your draft in its original state.

According to the official entry:

This innovative functionality allowing smoother email composition is slated for release in Outlook for Mobile in January 2025.

Additionally, Outlook is set to incorporate Copilot for automatic meeting scheduling. This advancement will encourage deeper utilization of the Calendar feature within the Outlook app, emphasizing the need for this new email composition capability.

Outlook will enhance the email writing process by allowing you to minimize draft emails and seamlessly access them alongside your calendar or other messages. This means while you’re crafting an email, you can quickly retrieve the information you need, all without having to navigate to the Draft folder.
