Steps to Create Profiles in Opera GX
- Select the Settings icon located in the sidebar.
- Navigate to Manage GX profiles.
- Click on Create a profile.
- Input the profile name and choose your preferred icon color.
- For customized settings, change the Configuration to Custom, select your options manually, and then click on Add new profile.
- A new profile shortcut will be created on your Taskbar for your convenience.
Removing an Opera GX Profile
- Follow the same initial steps by navigating to Manage GX profiles.
- Find the profile you wish to delete and click the three dots adjacent to it.
- Select Remove from the dropdown menu.
Opening an Opera GX Profile
Once you’ve created a profile, you can access it like any other application, either through the Taskbar or by utilizing a desktop shortcut.
Editing an Opera GX Profile
Unfortunately, after creating a profile, modifying its name, settings, or icon color is not possible.

The Opera GX profile folder can be found at: C:\Users\Your_username\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera GX Stable\_side_profiles
This folder will contain a series of alphanumeric characters as its name.
