  1. Launch PowerPoint.
  2. Change the slide layout to blank.
  3. Insert a WordArt onto the slide, then type text into the text box.
  4. On the Animations tab, then select Appear from the Animation gallery.
  5. Click the Animation Pane button.
  6. Click the drop-down arrow of the current animation and select Effect Options.
  7. On the Effect tab, select by letter.
  8. In the second delay between letters section, set the seconds you want the text to be delayed.
  9. Then click Ok.
  10. Click the Preview button to display the animated effect.

Launch PowerPoint.

Change the slide layout to blank.
