How to get Windows 11 Feature Updates quickly

A lot of users want to always stay up-to-date, and Microsoft is well aware of that. That is why they have included a feature in Windows 11 that allows the operating system to install the feature update as soon as it is available. This ensures that you don’t have to wait for the update to be made available to your PC; instead, you can just allow your computer to receive the update as soon as it arrives. Now, let us see how to get Windows 11 Feature Update quickly.

Get Windows 11 Feature Updates quickly

To use this feature, you need Windows 11 Build 25314 or later. This is due to the fact that the feature is still in the testing phase on Insider Builds and is not deployed on stable versions. If you do not see this feature, you need to wait – or then use a third-party application to enable this setting right away.

With that in mind, let us first install Update Stack Package version 1101.2303.8011.0. To do the same, go to Settings > Windows Update > Update History > Quality updates. After installing the update, follow any of the following methods to get Windows 11 Feature Updates quickly.

  1. Using Registry Editor
  2. Using Vivetool

Let us talk about them in detail.

1] Using Registry Editor

Registry Editor stores the configuration of your computer, hence we can alter the system’s settings using this utility. However, this also makes Registry Editor very delicate, and fiddling with it is not recommended. So, before altering registries, let us first take a backup of the Registry Editor. Once you have taken the backup, navigate to the following location in Registry Editor.

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windowsupdate\UX\Settings

Now, right-click on the empty space and select New > DWORD (32-Bit) Value. Name the newly created key IsContinuousInnovationOptedIn. Right-click on IsContinuousInnovationOptedIn and select Edit. Change the Value data to 1 and click on Ok. Reboot your computer and the changes will be saved permanently.

In case, you want to disable it, just change the Value data of IsContinuousInnovationOptedIn to 0. This will do the job for you.

2] Using Vivetool

We have first to download and install Vivetool on our computer. Then, open Command Prompt with administrative privileges and execute the following command.

c:\vivetool\vivetool.exe /enable /id:43132439

Once you get the “Successful” message, restart your computer.

Hopefully, now you know how to get Windows 11 Features quickly!
