How to Fix the Persistent Location Arrow on iPhone

Noticing a persistent location arrow on the status bar of your iPhone? Typically, this arrow appears momentarily and then vanishes. Its presence signifies that crucial Location Services are active on your device, and if it’s constantly on display, it’s a sign that something might not be right.

What Does It Mean If the Location Arrow Remains Visible?

The visibility of the location arrow indicates that one or more applications or services are utilizing your iPhone’s Location Services. For instance, the Weather widget on your Home Screen might access your location to provide real-time weather updates, causing the location arrow to momentarily flash in the status bar.

It’s perfectly normal for the location arrow to appear momentarily, so you need not be alarmed. However, if it remains visible for an extended period, it suggests that certain apps or services are still utilizing Location Services in the background. In that case, it may be necessary to disable Location Services on your device.

Solution – Disable Location Services

Turning off Location Services will typically remove the location arrow from your status bar.

Step 1 – First, navigate to the Settings menu on your iPhone.

Step 2 – Next, select Privacy & Security from the options available.

Solution 2 – Remove Apps Using Location Services

If you have installed third-party applications that may be accessing Location Services, consider uninstalling those apps.

Step 1 – Determine which app is using location services by going to Settings.

Step 2 – Then navigate to:
