How to Fix ‘No Music Results Found’ Error on Instagram

Instagram offers a wide variety of music to enhance your reels, stories, and posts. However, there may be instances when you’re unable to locate the specific audio track you want to use. This article discusses the reasons behind this issue and provides effective solutions for troubleshooting it.

Why Are There No Music Search Results on Instagram?

If the audio track you are searching for is not royalty-free or categorized as a No-Copyright Song, it may not be directly accessible on Instagram. Without proper permissions to use copyrighted music, it won’t show up in your search results.

Your search for remixes or covers may also yield no results due to similar licensing or copyright restrictions.

Furthermore, Instagram imposes a limit on the number of times you can search for tracks. If you exceed this limit (approximately 20 searches), the platform may stop displaying available tracks in your search results. We have solutions for this issue as well.

Fix 1 – The Track May Not Be Available

It’s essential to keep in mind that not all songs are present in the Instagram app. The track you are attempting to include in your Instagram story might simply not be available. As a first step, consider choosing a different track for your Instagram story.

Change the audio and re-upload your story to resolve the issue.

Fix 2 – Switch to a Personal Account

Using a Professional account could be the source of the problem. Switching to a personal account allows you to use music in your stories.

Step 1 – On your Instagram app, tap on your profile picture on the dock.

Fix 3 – Save the Music and Use It

This solution is for users encountering a limit on the number of song searches on Instagram.

Step 1 – Bookmark the song you wish to use in advance. Open the Instagram app.

Step 2 – Tap the search box and enter the name of the track you’re looking for.

Step 3 – In the “Audio” section, you should be able to find the audio track you desire. Select the song you want.

Step 4 – Open the chosen song.

Step 5 – Tap the “bookmark” button at the top of the music track to save it.
