How to Fix Location Suggestions in iPhone Calendar
Receiving constant location suggestions from the iPhone Calendar app can be quite frustrating. While the Location Suggestion feature in the iPhone Calendar is useful, unnecessary suggestions based on your frequently searched locations can interrupt your workflow. In this guide, we will explain how to disable location suggestions on your iPhone effectively.
What are Location Suggestions?
Your iPhone Calendar is designed to automatically recommend locations based on your preferences, previous location history, and other events you have set. As you begin to input event details in the Calendar, it provides location recommendations automatically.
This feature might not be bothersome if you have a limited number of events in just a few locations. However, if you frequently create new events in varied locations, these automatic suggestions can become distracting. In such instances, turning off location suggestions may be the best option for you.
How to Disable Location Suggestions in iPhone Calendar?
It is quite simple to disable Location Suggestions. You can manage these settings directly from the iPhone’s Settings page.
Step 1 – On your iPhone, tap the “⚙” icon to open the Settings menu.
Step 2 – If you are using iOS 17, locate the “Calendars” app directly on the home page of the Settings.
Step 3 – For those with iOS 18 or later, navigate to the “Apps” tab.
The Apps folder contains all the applications installed on your iPhone.
Step 4 – Search for the “Calendars” application.
Step 5 – Open the Calendars app.
Once inside the Calendars app, you will find all related calendar information.
Step 6 – Scroll to the bottom of the Calendars settings.
Step 7 – Disable the “Location Suggestions” toggle.
By toggling this switch off, you will stop receiving location suggestions while creating events in the Calendar app. If you ever wish to enable location suggestions again, simply follow the same steps to toggle it back on.
