What does error code 6144 mean?

This particular error generally arises when the game attempts to place you into a match that is already underway but fails to do so. Issues related to connectivity may also trigger this error.

How can I resolve Dev error 6144?

Initially, try restarting your game. If the issue persists, consider rebooting your PC or console. Additionally, check that your internet connection is stable and that latency is minimal.

1. Verify the game files

For Battle.net

  1. Exit the game and navigate to the Call of Duty section.
  2. Click the cogwheel symbol next to the Play button.

For Steam
