- Consequently, this operating system will cease to receive any updates or support.

The support for Windows 11 22H2 (2022 Update) officially concluded on October 8, 2024, impacting editions such as Windows 11 Home, Pro, Pro Education, and Pro for Workstations. Nonetheless, Windows 11 Enterprise and Education will remain supported until October 14, 2025.
You can continue using version 22H2; however, Microsoft will not provide support for this version post-October 8. This includes a halt on security updates for systems running this version.
If your device is operating on the unsupported version of Windows 11, it will eventually upgrade automatically to the next supported version, which is 23H2. Nonetheless, you can expedite the process with a manual upgrade using a quick enablement package.
To perform a manual upgrade, navigate to Settings > Windows Update. Press the “Check for updates” button, and then click the “Download and install” button if available. There is no substantial difference between version 22H2 and 23H2; these releases are nearly identical. Thus, the update process via Windows Update is straightforward and does not require full reinstallation. Essentially, it merely changes the version number from 22H2 to 23H2.
By updating from 22H2 to 23H2, your system’s support will extend until November 11, 2025. After this period, upgrading to version 24H2 will be necessary to continue receiving support until October 1, 2026.
Additionally, you can opt for an in-place upgrade or a clean installation to transition to Windows 11 24H2, which became available on October 8. After installation, a restart is required to finalize the upgrade, and the duration of this process may vary based on your hardware setup.
If you prefer to update to the latest version manually, you can utilize the Media Creation Tool or the Update Assistant.
