According to a post from Google Workspace Updates, when utilizing Google Docs on the web, a new option labeled “Help me create an image” can be found in the Insert menu. This innovative tool enables you to describe the image you desire, and Imagen 3 will render an image that encapsulates your vision with remarkable clarity, precision, and color fidelity.

The newly introduced feature grants users a high degree of customization, allowing them to choose from Square, Wide, or Tall aspect ratios. Artistic styles such as Photography, Vector art, Sketch, Watercolor, and Cyberpunk are available, or users can opt for the “I’m feeling lucky” option for a surprise.

For those utilizing pageless documents, Imagen 3 improves the Cover image feature. You can easily create visually stunning cover images that extend across the full width of your document, making it ideal for resumes, invitations, or client presentations.

The rollout of this feature has commenced for Google Workspace customers on eligible plans, which include Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, Education Premium, or the Google One AI Premium add-on. It officially began on November 15th and is expected to be broadly accessible by year-end.

To craft a cover image, simply follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Insert > choose Cover image > click on Help me create an image, or
  2. Type “@” followed by Cover image and then select Help me create an image.

To insert an image:

  1. Click on Insert
  2. Select Image
  3. Pick Help me create an image
  4. Enter an image description (you can also choose a style for your image)
  5. Click Create, and options will be generated
  6. Choose the image you prefer, and it will be inserted into your document.

This new functionality opens the door to visual content creation, allowing anyone, irrespective of their artistic skills, to produce engaging documents filled with custom-generated images that align perfectly with their ideas.
