While free users are limited to just 15 minutes of access to Advanced Voice Mode monthly, the Standard Voice Mode offers a bit more flexibility. Here’s how to effectively interact with ChatGPT using its Windows application.

Guide for Using Voice Mode in ChatGPT’s Windows App

Step 1: Open the ChatGPT app and click the waveform icon located in the bottom right corner of the window.

Step 2: On your first attempt to use voice mode, grant the app permission to access your microphone.

Step 3: You can now start conversing through the voice feature.

Step 4: If you wish to adjust the voice, click on the preferences icon in the top right corner.

Step 5: Select your preferred voice from the available options.

When you select a different voice, remember you’ll need to start a new chat session.

Step 6: To stop voice input, simply click the microphone icon, which will turn red.

Regrettably, even though there’s a share option, currently, the app does not support sharing conversations in audio form.
