Nvidia Launches Unified GeForce Experience and Control Panel App – No Account Required

Nvidia has officially introduced the Nvidia App, a comprehensive platform that merges the previous GeForce Experience and Nvidia Control Panel into a single application.

This new app has been available in beta testing for some time, and its official announcement was made by Nvidia in September. Users can download the app directly from Nvidia’s official website, and it is compatible with PCs running Windows 10 and Windows 11 that have a supported Nvidia GPU.

You may wonder about the capabilities of this app. It offers several functionalities, including driver updates, game settings management, display configuration, and access to Nvidia’s advanced algorithms that optimize performance and image quality.

According to a blog post from Nvidia, one of the advantages of the Nvidia App is that it doesn’t require users to create an account, which was a point of frustration for some who utilized the GeForce Experience app primarily for driver updates.

Initially, the application may lack certain features that existed in the now-discontinued Nvidia Control Panel, such as the configuration of Surround and multiple display modes. However, Nvidia has promised that these features will be added in “future updates.”

Moving forward, Nvidia will continue to provide Game Ready and Studio Driver updates as standalone installers, indicating that the app will be an optional tool for users.

The Nvidia App is compatible with a range of systems equipped with GeForce GTX 800/800M/900/900M/10/16 series, RTX 20/30/40 graphics cards, and MX 100/200/300 mobile GPUs. To utilize the software, your system must have Nvidia driver version 551.52 or newer installed.

You can download the app here.
