Has your iPhone wallpaper suddenly turned black? This is an unusual situation because your wallpaper or lock screen shouldn’t change without your input. Therefore, take a moment to check out these solutions to resolve the issue promptly.

Solution 1 – Disable Sleep Mode

When your iPhone enters Sleep Mode, it can dim the screen brightness, which may explain why your wallpaper appears black.

Step 1 – Access the Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner of your screen.

Step 2 – Tap on the “Sleep Mode” option to turn it off.

Once you disable Sleep Mode, your wallpaper should stop dimming and appearing black.

If the problem persists, proceed to the next solution.

Solution 2 – Force Restart Your iPhone

Performing a force restart can help rectify the problem.

Step 1 – Simply press the Volume Up button.

Step 2 – Following that, press and quickly release the Volume Down button.

Step 3 – Finally, press and hold the Power button until the iPhone shuts down and restarts itself.
