Get Windows 11 Wallpapers Celebrating 10 Years of Windows Insiders

Microsoft is marking the decade milestone of its Windows Insider Program by providing users with two brand-new custom wallpapers, perfect for installation on any Windows 10 or 11 device.

The available wallpapers come in both light and dark themes, featuring a refreshing water-green color palette. These designs pay homage to Windows’ rich history, with nods to iconic features from Windows 95, including the classic Start logo, as well as nostalgic elements like the “Display Properties,” “Date,” and “Enter Password” dialogues. You’ll also find references spanning Windows XP, Windows 10, and Windows 11, along with a familiar appearance of Clippy.

You can easily download these wallpapers from Microsoft:

Each wallpaper set is provided in a Zip file format, tailored to whether you select the light or dark version. After downloading, simply extract the images from the Zip file. Next, head to Settings > Personalization > Background. Choose the “Picture” option within the “Personalize your background” settings, and then hit the “Browse Photos” button to choose your desired desktop background image. These steps can be followed even if your Windows 11 isn’t activated.

If you opt for the dark mode wallpaper, consider activating the dark mode on Windows 11 following these guidelines to enhance your experience.

Additionally, you may want to try downloading the default wallpapers included with Windows 365, the vibrant Bloom wallpapers featured on the Surface Laptop 5, or the two new default wallpapers designated for the Windows Server 2025 desktop.
